I Got into trigpointing in April 2006, I have always been interested in the pillars and the history behind them. As I learnt more the more respect I had for those who built them in the first place and the accuracy used back then.
I then started to go out specially to “bag” them, I found it was a good idea for something to aim for in an area of the country that I knew and also helped plan routes in areas I didn’t know or have any guide books.
